Following the success of last year’s competition, we are again inviting schools to take part in the Leukaemia Cancer Society’s Short Story Competition.
Many of the entries we received were of outstanding quality and most of the short stories were deservedly published in the resulting book, ‘The Nightmare at Wizardville and Other Stories.'

The competition was a great success for the charity and for the pupils, parents and schools that participated. The presentation event held in Enfield Civic Centre was attended by Clare Helen Walsh the judging author, Clare is particularly passionate about writing stories that help children deal with big feelings and difficult issues.

This year we are again holding a writing competition, with the theme, 'POWER'. The deadline for entries is 22nd March 2019, entries to arrive at our office by the 29th of March 2019.
There will be a winner from each of the three categories and the three winning entries as well as those which made the final shortlist, will be published in the resulting book.
All finalists, will be invited to the Awards Ceremony, will receive a certificate and a copy of the book and family and friends will have the opportunity to purchase the book at a discounted rate. The three prize-winners and overall winner will receive a prize and all participating schools will receive a certificate.
