Martha and Eve accepted our invitation to become Patrons of the Leukaemia Cancer Society and pledged their support to the cause.

When Martha and Eve initiated the British Born Cypriot Idol Talent Show, its key purpose was to raise urgently needed funds and awareness of the under representation of Mediterraneans on the Bone Marrow Donor Register, also to encourage new talent from the community to come forward, this aim was definitely achieved. The popularity of the first show has been successful in building the events strength and appeal, providing a platform for the charity to promote its work.

Eve Polycarpou is a professional singer and actress doing live shows internationally and nationally. From London to Canada her acting work has included playing lead roles at the Royal National Theatre alongside Sir Michael Gambon, Billie Whitelaw and Tim Curry and for T.V she has played lead parts on Inspector Morse, Jonathan Creek, The Brief, and has recently finished filming an episode of the drama ‘Whistleblower’ and the soap drama ‘The Bill’.

Eve’s ongoing partnership with Martha has seen them perform to critical acclaim on global stages including London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall and their North London home venue here at? the Millfield Theatre and winning a Time Out award at the Edinburgh Festival for their comedy duo ‘Donnna and Kebab’, which they created in the 80’s. Martha’s highly skilled musicianship together with Eve’s acting skills have made this cross cultural partnership duo ‘one of the most innovative.
