On June 16th, 2016, the 2nd Butterfly Fashion Show inspired cancer survivors and proved, once again, that hope conquers all.
The evening which took place at the Penridge Suite in Arnos Grove North London was a huge success and the atmosphere was fantastic! Five of the ladies, Sue, Pat, Katia, Linda and Tish, who took to the catwalk have been affected by cancer and were a real inspiration to everyone. Joining them was professional singer Eleni C.
We were overwhelmed with the kind compliments at the end of the event. Everyone thought it was very inspiring and motivational. This of course makes us proud because creating awareness, inspiring and motivating others is the major aim of the LCS Butterfly Fashion Show.
Improvements in the treatment, diagnosis, and prevention of cancer have increased cancer survivorship. Cancer survival in the UK has doubled in the last 40 years, meaning many more people who have been diagnosed with cancer are living a productive life today.
However, cancer still remains a significant cause of death. Meaning all efforts to create awareness and raise funds for patient care and research into cancer remain high on the charity’s agenda.
