We’re very honoured and lucky to have someone we hold in such high regard judge this year’s Short Story contest. Steve King is a broadcaster and journalist.

He was the resident expert on Channel 4’s Richard & Judy Show and wrote fashion columns in both The Sunday Express and The Mail on Sunday. He is also a former editor of numerous Men's and women’s magazines. Steve is the foster parent to three children, aged twelve, eight and three-years-old. Inspired by last year’s great entries, we challenged 7 to 15 year olds to enter their short stories, and battle it out for the opportunity to have their work published. This year’s theme is ‘Every Cloud has a silver lining’.

We received some amazing stories, and we are now undergoing the difficult task of shortlisting the many entries and forwarding to Steve for judging! Winners from the three age categories will be announced in May. All Shortlisted Schools and Students will be invited to the awards ceremony in London.
