Join us for the challenge of a lifetime across the stunning Caribbean island of Cuba to raise funds for the Leukaemia Cancer Society. Perhaps better known for its cigars, rum and exotic dance moves, Cuba is a vibrant Caribbean gem that also offers some fantastic trekking challenges.
Over this 10 day challenge, we spend 5 –days trekking, our route takes us through some of Cuba’s most spectacular scenery as we journey across the island from Havana on the North coast to Trinidad on the South, crossing the Escambray mountains. We trek through forests and fruit orchards, past beautiful waterfalls with crystal-clear pools, and coffee plantations. We have an opportunity to enjoy Cuba’s staggering natural beauty at Topes de Collantes nature reserve before trekking right up to the spectacular, picture-perfect Vegas Grande Falls. Finally we glimpse views of the Caribbean Sea as we arrive at the World Heritage City of Trinidad and enjoy its colonial gems. You will not be alone, you will be joining a team of a minimum of fifteen people. Our fundraising team will be there to help you with your fundraising efforts. They can provide you with a wide range of materials, expert advice and guidance on how to make the most of your fundraising.
